How it works

Three steps, and we do the building

From the first visit or call to a new hire who is productive and still with you.
01
Shape the role

One hour, at your site or on a call, to define the entry-level AI role and what a strong first month looks like.

02
We build the onboarding

A guided journey through your tools, processes, and ways of working, ready before their first day.

03
They start and stay

An AI specialist placed free of charge through Utiva, with six months of mentoring and check-ins behind them.

The programme

Getting AI into London SMEs

FliT is a UK government funded programme that places trained, assessed AI specialists into 30 London SMEs. Holovast delivers it with our partner Utiva: Utiva finds and prepares the talent, we make their first weeks in your business productive.

FliT uses the shared Holovast platform to turn employer-approved sources into reviewed onboarding plans and Learning Paths, completed through web or tablet. It is a programme delivered on Holovast, not a separate platform or AI engine.

Is this you?

A London SME

You make something, or run technical operations

An entry-level AI role could pull its weight

New starters take longer to get productive than they should

If most of these sound like you, you are the profile.

Productive first weeks

Your AI hire lands on a guided journey and contributes sooner.

AI capability without the outlay

A trained specialist, placed free, working on your AI priorities.

A hire that stays

Six months of mentoring and check-ins, so it sticks rather than stalls.

Our focus

Manufacturers, because guided work instruction is what we build: the places we bring to the programme go to businesses that make things or run technical operations, where a strong first month shows up quickest in the work itself.

What you get

Placed, onboarded, and supported

All three are covered by the programme.

A mentor guiding a new hire through an onboarding checklist on a tablet
An AI specialist, placed free of charge

Matched to your business through our delivery partner Utiva. They work on your own AI priorities, whatever those are.

A guided onboarding journey

A guided workflow for their first weeks, with optional 3D and AR where showing is more useful than telling. Built from your own tools and processes, and used from a browser or tablet from day one.

Six months of wraparound support

Check ins, mentoring and retention tracking through the placement, so it sticks rather than stalls.

What we build for you

An AR onboarding your hire actually uses

Not a document or a slide deck. A live, guided workflow with holographic content, set up and ready before their first day.

A guided onboarding workflow

A complete first-week journey for the role, with steps for tasks, checks, decisions, and links into your existing training.

3D holographic content

Built by our AR designers for the steps where a hologram shows what a document cannot. Viewable on tablet, in a browser, or on a headset.

Built from your approved material

Drafted from your approved material, reviewed and approved by you before it is assigned, and held in your own tenant, never shared.

Set up and ready to run

Installed for you on the Holovast cloud and used from a browser or tablet. Private cloud, on-site, and edge available where needed.

?????

The UK government funds projects that get AI and advanced technology into real businesses. Our costs are covered by the grant, so it is free to you. We benefit because these placements prove the technology in real businesses.

Yes. They are your hire, on your payroll, on terms you set. The placement itself is free of charge: finding, assessing and placing them costs you nothing, and so does the onboarding we build for their first weeks and the six months of support behind them.

Our delivery partner Utiva does. They find, assess and prepare the talent, and they will have their own conversation with you about the hire. Our sessions are about building the onboarding, and the two run alongside each other rather than one waiting on the other.

A headset is optional. We build the guided workflow and its 3D holographic content, and it runs on a tablet or in a browser as well as on a headset. Most hires will use a tablet or browser day to day.

The funded setup runs on the Holovast cloud, reachable from a browser or tablet with nothing to run on your side. Your workflow and holographic content sit in your own tenant and are not shared with other customers. Where a business needs a private cloud, its own infrastructure, or an edge deployment, that is supported.

No. The funded programme covers onboarding your new AI hire. Guiding operators on your production floor uses the same system but is a separate commercial conversation, and we are happy to have it.

The onboarding keeps working after the programme. Continuing to run it, taking the same system to your shop floor, and ongoing AR on headsets are commercial next steps, with access and terms set out in the participation agreement.

Very little. A first session to shape the role, at your site or on a call, a short check that the first weeks look right, and a review at the end. We do the building.

The programme is open to London SMEs. The places we bring to it focus on manufacturers and businesses running technical operations, because that is the work our onboarding is built for.

If you are outside London, or the funded places do not fit, the same system is available commercially. Manufacturers outside London can start with a paid shop-floor deployment, and guided onboarding is available anywhere. Same conversation, different route.

Where this goes next

Onboard once, guide forever.

A governed route to your shop floor

For a manufacturing participant, the same publication, assignment, evidence, and audit foundation creates a governed route into a separately scoped shop-floor deployment. It is the same platform and the same way of authoring, so going further means new workflows for your own processes, built on something your team already knows, not another tool to learn.
